Alice Hewson

I am a writer, trained Journalist and Youth Worker. I am interested in society, children and young people, mental health, challenges in the education system, neurodiversity, ADHD, Dyspraxia, grief and unpaid Carers. My writing focusses on these areas.

My day job is currently Media and Communications Officer; producing copy and comms on the issues unpaid carers face. I also support young carers to develop a youth forum to have a voice.

Previously I worked developing creative social action projects and campaigns with young carers

I use my experience of working in the youth work field for ten years to inform my writing.

I am a former trustee of the Dyspraxia Foundation and I previously worked as Regional Coordinator in the Children and Young People's team for the mental health campaign, Time to Change.
